Statement on slavery and human trafficking
This statement is made as a result of the enactment of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Fremantle Group Limited (‘FG’, ‘we’ or ‘us’) is a private limited company, incorporated in England and Wales with registered number 00353341. The Registered Office is at 1 Stephen Street, London W1T 1AL.
Introduction and overview
Fremantle Group is part of RTL Group, a leader across broadcast, content and digital, which in turn is owned by Bertelsmann, an international media company.
FG is a global content company creating, producing and distributing content across traditional TV and digital platforms. FG operates a wide range of businesses, including TV Sales and Distribution, Channels, Production, Live Events and Licensed Consumer Products among many others. Some are managed through subsidiary companies and joint venture partnerships and we also hold minority stakes in a number of independent television production companies.
Goods, Services and Supply
FG has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own businesses or those of our suppliers.
The services utilised by us are both office and field based and we consider the supply chain for services utilised to be very low risk in relation to slavery and human trafficking. In our dealings with third party suppliers and outsourced service providers, we expect them to observe and confirm their adherence to all local laws and regulations including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Given what we understand to be a low risk profile of any party supplying us with goods and services being involved in slavery and/or human trafficking, we believe our current diligence procedures are sufficient in this regard.
Training of Staff
We provide employees and management with training on a range of compliance matters which will include their obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, particularly in relation to mitigating risks within supply chains. FG also ensures that such training is provided to employees of subsidiary companies where relevant.
Policy
FG has a Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy that has been approved by the Board and applies to all persons working for us, or on our behalf, in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives and business partners.
The policy confirms our commitment to ensuring there is supply chain transparency with regard to modern slavery and human trafficking and that we expect all suppliers of goods and services to us will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.
Board approval
This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors and will be reviewed annually.
